Why we started Capcells

A definition you can stand behind.

Pricing a lending product and proving it is compliant is slow, and mostly done by hand. The math lives in a spreadsheet, the rules live in a policy document, and the offer lives in a third system. Every quarter someone re-derives the numbers and hopes nothing has moved.

We think that is the wrong way round. The exact cost of a loan and the rules it has to follow are the most important things a lender owns. They should not live in files only a few people can read.

So we are building Capcells. A product is defined once, as a structured definition the whole team works from. From that one definition, Capcells computes the exact cost, checks it against the rules of each market, and turns it into an offer a person can sign.

When the cost is exact and the rules are already inside the work, no one has to defend a number they cannot trace. That is what we are building toward, one market at a time.

How we work

A few things we hold to. They shape every decision we make.

One definition, not three

Pricing, checks, and proposals read from the same source, so they cannot drift apart. Define a product once, and everything downstream follows from it.

Exact by default

A cost is either right or it is wrong. We do not ship approximations and reconcile them later.

Compliance is part of the product

The rules a product must follow live next to the product, not in a review bolted on at the end.

A person stays accountable

Software drafts the proposal and shows its working. A person decides what goes out.

Quiet by default

We would rather show the working than make a claim. The product speaks in numbers.

What we are building toward

An offer is a promise.It should be one you can prove.
